VIB Credit card rewards/cashback program terms and conditions

1. General programme regulations

Promotion’s Goods/Sevices VIB Credit Cards (“Card”)
In these Terms and Conditions, the terms “VIB Credit Card” and/or “Card” shall be used with respect to all VIB Credit Card products and/or the particular VIB Credit Card product, depending on the context.
Eligible Customer (Promotion’s Beneficiaries) Customers who are Vietnamese individuals and foreigners, owning and spending with VIB Credit Card (hereinafter referred to as “Customer”)
Structure of prizes
  • Contents of prizes:  
    • Free Gift Program: Prizes include gifts such as E-vouchers, scholarships, lounge use, free upgrade to Golden Lotus membership card, refunds; and/or 
    • Customer Loyalty Program: Prizes are bonus points and customers use bonus points to convert into: Annual fees, refunds (including converting bonus points into additional deposits into the Savings Book, refunds to pay for valid transactions).
  • Total number of prizes: are unlimited and not exceeding the total value of promotional goods and services.
  • Value of prizes: Each gift is worth from VND 1 to VND 10,000,000 /gift, depending on the type of gift.

2. Details of the Promotion program

2.1 General Regulation

  • Spending transactions: are spendings and purchases transactions made by the Customer with VIB Credit Card for goods and services payment transactionbased on the Customer's own legally personal consumption purposes2 via POS and the Internet at card-accepting points of sales (or merchants) and accounting entries are recorded on VIB card system during the promotion period as follow:
    • Spending transactions of Supplementary Card will be recorded to the Primary Card; or 
    • Spending transactions of Primary, Supplementary Cards are recorded separately for each Card depending on each program regulated details in this terms and conditions.
  • Special transactions: are spending transactions for the game, mobile recharge and gift cards, or transactions happened at merchants that VIB determines that is the working place of the Cardholder3 (including the case of Cardholder's workding place is only a store, branch, holding company, subsidiary company of its merchants or companies with having the same holding company, belonging to the same Group/Corporation of its merchants)
  • MCC: is the merchant category code list determined depending on the MCC code established by seller and acquiring bank as the regulation of the international card schemes.
  • The type of amount will be excluded in the spending value of the promotion:
    • Goods and Services’s Tax;
    • Monthly installment amount of Installment Plan Program4, debited adjustment transaction and other fees/interests according to the Card’s tariffs and interest rate.
    • Transactions without MCC code such as QR code payment, bill payment via Internet Banking/Mobile App (MyVIB). 
    • Down Payment/Earnest Money transactions, or payment relating to real-estate tranfer sản (including land usage rights and/or assets attached to the land).
    • Ultilities payment transaction at the merchants such as electricity, water, telephone, internet, television.
    • Payment transactions have MCC code is 4900.
    • Insurance contract fee payment which Cardholder is not the Buyer5, payment transaction for the advance payment of the refundable value of the Insurance Policy.
    • Payment transactions at online adverstising merchants (including but unlimted Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Tiktok Ads) excepting the special regulations according to the corresponding ones to each specific card product as regulated by VIB in period.
    • Transaction is recorded on the Statement on the billing cycle date after the Card has been cancelled. 

2.2 Rewards Program for VIB Rewards Unlimited Credit Card

Get points according to the Value of Spending Transactions

  • Get 10 points for each 1.000 VND spending via POS’s device at Shopping Mall/Duty Free belong to MCC: 5611, 5621, 5631, 5641, 5651, 5681,5691, 5698, 5699, 0010, 1417, 1444,1457, 1471, 1472, 1473, 1479, 1480,1487,1498, 2433, 5311, 5314, 5956, 5959, 5931, 5309.
  • Get 5 points for each 1.000 VND spending POS’s device at Super market (MCC 5411). 
  • Get 1 point for each 1.000 VND spending at rest others (including the payment of Prudential insurance through bill payment function on Internet Banking/MyVIB for own Cardholders, whichshall be understood as the Cardholder's name is familiar with the Policyholder’s name).
  • Double bonus points (X2) if the total value of spending transactions satisfying the terms and conditions for accumulating bonus points in the statement period reaching at least 10 mio VND.
  • The maximum accumulated points/statement period for Special Transactions: 10,000 points.

2.3 Rewards and Cashback Program for VIB Cashback Credit Card

2.3.1 Offering 1: Cashback for spending transactions with Card on file (COF) 
Cashback up to 300,000 VND when Customers make spending transactions with Card on file as follow:

  • Customers who make spending transactions with Card on file that meet the following conditions:
    • COF’s transactions are made in the period from the Card issuance date to before the statement date of the 3rd statement period.
    • COF’s transactions are made in application/website of online card-accepting points of sales/merchants (including but unlimited Grab, Netflix, Tiki, Agoda, Booking.com, iTunes, CH Play, Spotify, Traveloka).
  • Cashback amount:
    • Cash back 50.000 VND/COF’s transaction/card-accepting point of sale. 
    • The maximum cash back amount: 100.000 VND/statement and maximum 300.000 VND/customer.
       

2.3.2 Offering 2: Accumulate rewards point based on the value of Spending Transactionsas follows:

  • Program 16 : Get rewards equal to 0.1% times (x) total value of Spending Transactions in the statement period (including the payment of Prudential insurance through bill payment function on Internet Banking/MyVIB for own Cardholders, whichshall be understood as the Cardholder's name is familiar with the Policyholder’s name). The maximum accumulated rewards/statement period is unlimited*; and
  • Program 2: Get rewards based on the corresponding rate with each condition of total value of Spending Transaction as MCC Group, as follow:
    • Customers need to register one of four MCC group are Insurance, Dining, Entertainment, Marketing/Adverstisement.
    • Registration guidance: Customers register to choose the MCC group through VIB’s website and/or Internet Banking and/or MyVIB applied in the period. The time when the Customer successfully registers to be recording as the information on VIB's system. 
    • MCC Group will be effectively applied for the statement that customer has been registered successfully, and automatically applying to the next statements. If Customer register to change the current MCC group the other ones, it will be applied as the regulation mentioned in this term.
    • The total value of the Spending Transactions belongs to the registerd MCC group in the statement period will be calculated to receive rewads points (“Incentive amount”) as follow:

2.3.3 Transition regulations for reward points of VIB Happy Drive Credit Card and cashback of VIB Cash Back Credit Card before the effective date of this terms and conditions.

  • Customers who are VIB Happy Drive Credit Cardholders and are accumulating bonus points called “Liter of Gasoline” under the promotion program before the effective date of this terms and conditions will be automatically converted to reward points by VIB. The rate and time of redeemion is notified by VIB to each Cardholder via the email that the Cardholder has registered with VIB. After redeemion, the reward points will be subject to the provisions under these terms.
  • Customers who are VIB Cash Back Credit Cardholders and are accumulating cashback under the promotion program before the effective date of this terms and conditions will continue to enjoy the accumulated/recorded cashback amount on the statement. As of the effective date of these terms, such cashback will be referred to as rewards and will be subject to the provisions under these terms.
  • The value of spending that has been recognized for promotion is the Cashback/Liter of Gasoline accumulated/recorded on the statement under the promotion program before the effective date of this terms and conditions, then these transactions are reverted/cancelled, will be applied according to the regulations on reverted transactions/invalid transactions under these terms since the terms and conditions has been effective.

2.4 Accumulative Mileage, Free VIP Lounge Access and Upgrade Lotusmiles Membership Card program for VIB Premier Boundless Credit Card

In this program, rewards are referred to as “Miles” or “Points” and the term Rewards/Miles/Points will be used in each context (for clarity, Miles are used in this program do not reflect actual Miles and/or actual Miles redeemion at any rate) 

  • Offering 1: Get Miles according to the value of spending transactions
    • Get 2 Miles for each 20.000 VND spending at Vietnam Airlines card-accepting point of sales;
    • Get 1,5 Miles for each 25.000 VND spending at overseas (spending transactions at card-accepting point of sales outside of Vienam and made in foreign currencies);
    • Get 1 Miles for each 30.000 VND spending at rest others (including the payment of Prudential insurance through bill payment function on Internet Banking/MyVIB for own Cardholders, whichshall be understood as the Cardholder's name is familiar with the Policyholder’s name);
    • Get 4.000 Miles for the primary Cardholders when have a minimum spending transaction of 5 million VND at Vietnam Airlines card-accepting point of sales within 30 days from the date of first card issuance7.
      The maximum accumulated Miles/statement period: Unlimited (**)
      (**) The maximum Miles/statement period for Special Transactions: 333 Miles 
  • Offering 2: Free access to the lounge of Mastercard Travel Pass(8)  for each Primary Cardholder/Supplementary Cardholder based on the spending conditions of each Card as follows:
    • Unlimited number of visits for Primary/Supplementary Cardholder when the following conditions are met: Total value of foreign spending transactions (transactions at card-accepting point of sales outside of Vietnam and made in foreign currencies) at least from VND 60 million/Card in 01 year by calendar year from 1 Jan to 31 every years; or
    • Maximum of 4 visits/year for Primary/Supplementary Cardholder if the above conditions are not met. 
    • In case the Primary/Supplementary Cardholder uses more than free visits for each Cardholder, VIB will be collecting and accounting fees for the excess number of lounge usages. The collecting arrears fee is determined according to Mastercard's fee schedule at after the end of each year's cycle.
  • Offfering 3: Free upgrade of Lotusmiles Membership Card of Lotusmiles Program - Vietnam Airlines (VNA) for Primary Cardholders (Lotusmiles Membership Card).
    • Free upgrade of Lotusmiles Membership Card to Titan level for the first year when the Customer has any first spending transaction from the Card issuance date9.
    • Free upgrade of Lotusmiles Membership Card for the next years when it comes to each upgrade/retention period of Lotusmiles Membership Card if Customer meets each of the following conditions:
       
      Total value of Spending Transactions within 12 consecutive statement periods in the previous year at the upgrading time Upgraded Lotusmiles Membership Card 
      Min 360 mio VND Titan
      Min 1,5 bio VND Gold
      Min 3 bio VND Platinum

      The period to upgrade/retain the customer's Lotusmiles Membership Card is annually counted at the time that Customer is upgraded to the Titan for the first year.
      In case the Customer closes (terminates) the Card but has issued a new Card and is still in the consideration for upgrading/retaining the previous Lotusmiles membership, the Customer needs to notify VIB to be updated in the system for the next Lotusmiles Membership Card upgrade/retention period.

2.5 Accumulative Mileage program for VIB Travel Élite Credit Card

In this program, rewards are referred to as “Miles” or “Points” and the term Rewards/Miles/Points will be used in each context (for clarity, Miles are used in this program do not reflect actual Miles and/or actual Miles redeemion at any rate). 

  • Offering 1: Get Miles according to the value of spending transactions 
    • Get 3 Miles for each 25.000 VND spending at POS’s devices overseas (spending transactions at card-accepting point of sales outside of Vienam and made in foreign currencies).
    • Get 1 Miles for each 25.000 VND spending at rest others (including the payment of Prudential insurance through bill payment function on Internet Banking/MyVIB for own Cardholders, whichshall be understood as the Cardholder's name is familiar with the Policyholder’s name). 

The maximum Miles/statement period for Special Transactions: 400 Miles

  • Offering 2: Free access to the lounge of Mastercard Travel Pass(10) for each Primary Cardholder/Supplementary Cardholder based on the spending conditions of each Card as follows:
    • Maximum of 4 visits/year for Primary/Supplementary Cardholder when the following conditions are met: Total value of foreign spending transactions (transactions at card-accepting point of sales outside of Vietnam and made in foreign currencies) at least from VND 60 million/Card in 01 year by calendar year from 1 Jan to 31 every years; or 
    • Maximum of 2 visits/year for Primary/Supplementary Cardholder if the above conditions are not met. 
    • In case the Primary/Supplementary Cardholder uses more than free visits for each Cardholder, VIB will be collecting and accounting fees for the excess number of lounge usages. The collecting arrears fee is determined according to Mastercard's fee schedule when Cardholder used 4 visits/year or after the end of each year's cycle.

2.6 Rewards program of VIB Online Plus 2in1 Credit Card

2.6.1 Offering 1: Accumulative points according to the value of spending transactions

  • Get points equal to 6% (x) the value of foreign online spending transactions (Online spending transactions at card-accepting point of sales outside Vietnam and made in foreign currencies);
  • Get points equal to 3% (x) the value of rest online spending transactions;
  • Get points equal to 0.1% (x) the total value of rest spending transactions in the statement that are not the online spending transactions (including the payment of Prudential insurance through bill payment function on Internet Banking/MyVIB for own Cardholders, whichshall be understood as the Cardholder's name is familiar with the Policyholder’s name);
  • The maximun points/statement period: 600.000 points (***)
    (***) The maximum points/statement period for Special Transactions: 300.000 points 

 

2.6.2 Offering 2: Cashback for spending transactions with Card on file (COF):

  • Customers who make spending transactions with Card on file that meet the following conditions:
    • COF’s transactions are made in the period from the Card issuance date to before the statement date of the 3rd statement period.
    • COF’s transactions are made in application/website of online card-accepting points of sales/merchants (including but unlimited Grab, Netflix, Tiki, Agoda, Booking.com, iTunes, CH Play, Spotify, Traveloka).
  • Each Customer who makes a COF’s transactions that meets the above conditions will receive the cashback amount as following:
    • Cash back 50.000 VND/COF’s transaction/card-accepting point of sale. 
    • The maximum cash back amount: 100.000 VND/statement and maximum 300.000 VND/customer.

 

2.6.3 Transition Regulations

  • Customers who are VIB Online Plus 2in1 Credit Cardholders and accumulating cashback under the promotion before the effective date of this terms and conditions will continue to enjoy the accumulated/recognized cashback on statement. As of the effective date of these terms, such cashback will be referred to as rewards and being subjected to the points provisions under these terms. 
  • The value of spending that has been recognized for promotion is the cashback amount accumulated/recorded on the statement under the promotion program before the effective date of this terms and conditions, then these transactions are reverted/cancelled, will be applied according to the regulations on reverted transactions/invalid transactions under these terms since the terms and conditions has been effective

In this program, Reward Points are referred to as “Smile” and/or “Points” and the term Reward Points/Points/Smile will be used depending on the context.

10.7.1 Program 1: Applicable to Cards issued before April 27, 2024, determined on basis of issuance date information on VIB's Card system.
 

Receive Reward Points according to the value of spending transactions as follows.

  • Receive 100,000 Smile on the birthday of the Cardholder's child according to the birth certificate provided to VIB. Maximum 02 children equivalent to 200,000 Smiles/year and this promotion only applies to Primary Cardholders.
  • Offering 01 scholarship, each worth VND 1,000,000, to Cardholders who meet the following conditions (i) have a child according to the birth certificate provided to VIB and recorded by the VIB system before the time of award consideration and (ii) being among the 1,000 Cardholders with the highest annual spending. Maximum no more than 1,000 scholarships/year. If there are many Cardholders who qualify for the promotion, VIB will select Cardholders in the order of (1) qualified ones with the highest number of transactions, then (2) those with High Spending Transactions as soon as possible.
  • Receive 20 Smiles for every VND 1,000 spent on birthdays, valentines (February 14 every year), wedding anniversaries of primary Cardholders who have linked together in the first year since linking Cards or Spending Transactions in Spending Field Groups: Healthcare, Children's Entertainment, Education and Weekend Catering Service/Dining Spending Transactions.
  • Receive 30 Smiles for every VND 1,000 spent on birthdays, valentines, and wedding anniversaries of primary Cardholders who have linked together in the 2nd year since linking the Card.
  • Receive 40 Smiles for every 1,000 spending transactions on birthdays, valentines, and wedding anniversaries of primary Cardholders who have linked together from the 3rd year onwards since card linking.
  • Receive 01 Smile for every VND 1,000 for all remaining spending transactions (including spending transactions to pay the Cardholder's Prudential insurance premium bill to the Cardholder himself (understood as the Cardholder's name is the same as the Policyholder's name) via Electronic Banking Service/MyVIB)
  • Maximum accumulated smiles: 
    • 1,000,000 Smiles/statement period
    • 50,000 Smile/statement period for Special Transactions.

2.7.2 Program 2: Applicable to Cards issued from April 27, 2024, determined on basis of issuance date information on VIB's Card system

Receive bonus points proportionally to each condition regarding the total value of spending transactions by Spending Category Group as follows:

  • Customers need to register to choose 1 of the following 3 Spending Category Groups: Insurance; Healthcare; Education with details as follows
  • How to register: Customers register to select the Spending Category Group for the Card through VIB's website and/or Electronic Banking Services and/or MyVIB that VIB deploys from time to time. The time the Customer successfully registers is the time VIB records the registration according to information on VIB's system ("Registration Card")
  • The Spending Category Group will take effect from the moment the Customer successfully registers. (If the Customer registers to change the Spending Category, the Customer will enjoy the promotion according to the new Registered Spending Category Group from the time of new registration and will not change the Bonus Points already enjoying the promotion according to the Previous Spending Category Groups)
  • Registered card will receive the following bonus points: 
    • The total value of spending Transactions under the registered Spending Category Group of the Registered Card is calculated to receive Bonus Points (“Preferred Bonus Amount”) according to the Accumulation Rate as follows::

  • Total value of remaining spending transactions that do not belong to the registered Spending Category Group of the registered Card (including spending transactions to pay the Cardholder's Prudential insurance premium bill to the Cardholder by themselves (the Cardholder's name is identical to the Policyholder’s name) via Electronic Banking Service/MyVIB) is counted to receive Bonus Points at a cumulative rate of 0.1%.
  • Unregistered cards will receive the following bonus points: Total value of spending transactions (including spending transactions to pay the Cardholder's Prudential insurance premium bill to the Cardholder by himself (the Cardholder's name is identical to the Policyholder’s name) via Electronic Banking Service/MyVIB) is counted to receive Bonus Points at a cumulative rate of 0.1%.
  • Maximum cumulative bonus points/statement period: 1,000,000 Bonus points (*****)

10.7.3    Transition regulations

If the Card is issued before April 27, 2024 and the Customer is enjoying incentives under Program 1, Customers can register to enjoy incentives under Program 2. 

  • Customers are entitled to incentives under Program 1 up to the time of successful registration;
  • Customers are entitled to enjoy incentives under Program 2, stop enjoying incentives under Program 1 from the time of successful registration but do not exceed the maximum accumulated Reward Points/statement period of Program 2.

2.8 Rewards program of VIB LazCard Credit Card

Get rewards according to the value of spending transactions 
In this program, rewards are referred to as “Points” and the terms Rewards/Points will be used in each context.

Until 10/04/2024

  • Get points equal to 15% (x) the value of spending transactions at LAZADA12; and
  • Get points equal to 20% (x) the value of spending transactions at LAZADA when implement the spending transactions on Customer’s birthday (according to the date of birth registered to VIB); and
  • Get points equal to 0.1% (x) the valued of the rest spendings (including the payment of Prudential insurance through bill payment function on Internet Banking/MyVIB for own Cardholders, whichshall be understood as the Cardholder's name is familiar with the Policyholder’s name).
  • The maximum accumulative points/statement: 800.000 points (****)
    (****) The maximum accumulative points/statement for the Special transaction: 100.000 points.

2.9 Rewards program of VIB Super Card Credit Card

    • Customers need to register to choose 1 in 6 the Group of Spending Categories:

    • Registration: Customers register to choose a Group of Spending Categories at the time of registration for opening/issuing Cards through VIB's website and/or E-Banking Service and/or MyVIB and/ or fill in selected information in the Forms that VIB applied in period. The time when the Customer successfully registers is the time when VIB records the registration according to the information on VIB's system.
    • The Group of Spending Categories will be being effect from the time the Customer successfully registers. (In case the Customer registers to change the Group of Spending Categories, the Customer will be entitled to the promotion according to the new registered ones from the time of new registration and will not change the Reward Points already entitled before)

3. Process, methods and procedures for receiving rewards

3.1 Rewads accumulated according to the spending transactions

3.1.1 Rewards will be automatically calculated by VIB Card system credited and shown on MyVIB, monthly Card statement (are also used the Rewards Account) based on the spending transactions that meet the program's conditions.

 

3.1.2 Rewards redeemion 

  1. Redeemion to the amount credited to Card account/Annual Fee/Gift14
    • Applicable card product:  VIB Travel Élite, VIB Cash Back, VIB Online Plus 2in1, VIB Rewards Unlimited, VIB Family Link, VIB LazCard, VIB Super Card, VIB Bill Pay
    • During the Card’s validity period and this promotion, Customer must go through MyVIB to make it on their own:
      • Convert the points into the amount credited to Card account; or 
      • Convert the points into the gift; or
      • Convert the points into the annual fee
    • The redeemed points which are corresponding to the specific gift/annual fee/amount according to the redeemion category at the time Customers redeem/automatically redeemed by VIB will be notified by VIB/informed on MyVIB;
    • The number of points on the Rewards Account will decrease in proportion to the number of successfully redeemed points
  2. Redeemion to Lotusmiles Miles15
    • Applicable card product: VIB Premier Boundless, VIB Travel Élite
    • During the validity period of Premier Boundless Card and 10 working days from the date of creating the monthly statement, VIB will convert the Miles recorded to Lotusmiles Miles and transferring them into the Lotusmiles Member's account at Vietnam Airlines for Primary Cardholders registered with VIB. 
    • During the validity period of Travel Élite Card, the customer can implement the miles’ conversion to Lotusmiles miles into the Lotusmiles Member’s account at Vietnam Airlines for Primary Cardholders registered with VIB through MyVIB.
    • Miles which are debited on Rewards Account will be reduced corresponding to the successfully redemped Lotusmiles Miles.
  3. Redeemion to the cashback/amount according to Pay with Rewards16
    • Applicable card product: VIB Travel Élite
    • During the validity period of VIB Travel Élite and this promotion, Customer must go through MyVIB to redeem the accumulative Miles to the cashback/amount credited into the card account to payment for purchasing transactions according to “Pay with Rewards” feature as the terms and conditions. 
    • Customers can actively register or cancel registration the automatic Pay with Rewards feature for subsequent transactions on MyVIB (follow the provisions below).
    • Customers can both maintain automatic registration of Pay with Rewards and redeem other forms of rewards through MyVIB (if the Customer's points are enough to do so).
    • Transactions’ conditions of Pay with Rewards (“Pay with Rewards transaction”):
      • Excluding the transactions: spending transaction at card-accepting point of sales having the MCC codes 6011, 6010 (Cash Withdrawal/Cash Advance); 9311, 7511 (Fees/Charges Payment); 7995 (Game); 6540, 4829 (Fund Transfer); 6211 (Stock trading business); 6050, 6051 (Virtual currency trading). These excluded transactions can be added or replaced in accordance with the regulations of Mastercard VIB and Law in period.
      • Being the transactions of Primary Card.
      • The minimum payment amount 100.000 VND/Transaction
    • Instructions on how to register or cancel registration automatically Pay with Rewards (for transactions after registration)
      • Customers register the automatic Pay with Rewards: Customers who have not registered yet or cancelled registration, they can register or re-register by logging in MyVIB -> select “Pay with Rewards” -> select enable “Automatic redemption for subsequent transactions”.
      • Customers cancel the automatic Pay with Rewards: Customer log in MyVIB -> select “Pay with Rewards” -> select disable “Automatic redemption for subsequent transactions”.
    • The successful registration/unregistration of automatic Pay with Rewards will be shown by notification and/or available status on MyVIB. 
    • Implement Pay with Rewards 
      • As customers make any Pay with Rewards transaction, it will be recorded by VIB system (to avoid confusion, this recognition is shown by VIB system will still debit the amount of its Pay with Rewards to the Card account like normal transactions); and
        • Customers who have registered for Automatic Pay with Rewards: VIB system automatically converts rewards points into the amount credited to the Card account corresponding to the Pay with Rewards Transaction points to pay in it’s the Pay with rewards transaction amount; or
        • Customers make Payment with Rewards by themselves: Customers log in to MyVIB - select “Pay with Rewards” -> select Pay with Rewards Transaction to convert rewards points into the amount credited to the Card account to pay the its Payment Transaction amount.
      • The number of points on the Rewards Account will decrease in proportion immediately to the converted points and will credit the converted amount to the Customer's Card account after 02 to 03 working days from the transaction date. Payment with Rewards (automatic case) / from the date Customer makes Pay with Rewards successfully on MyVIB (in case Customer makes redemption).
  4. Automatic conversion to additional deposit amount in Daily Saving Pass/Target Passbook
    • Applicable card product: VIB Family Link
    • During the validity period of the Card, the Customer must call 1800 8195 of the Customer Care Department 24/7 - VIB or through MyVIB (depending on the method that VIB implements from time to time) to do so:
      • Register for automatic conversion of points into an amount to add to the Daily Savings Pass/Target Savings Book designated by the Customer (“Account”). By choosing to register for automatic redemption, the Customer agrees to authorize VIB to have full authority to convert the points and transfer the converted amount to the account, including authorizing the automatic deduction of money from the current account. Customer's payment to add to the account according to this regulation17.
      • The converting points that corresponds to the added deposit amount into account is 100,000 Smile equivalent to 100,000 VND.
    • The deadline VIB is responsible for converting points and accounting for the converted to additional deposit amount into account, satisfying the condition is 23:59 minutes of the day Customer accumulates 100,000 Smile, provided that the day Customer accumulates accumulate 100,000 Smile no later than 31 days before the due date of account, the number of points on the Rewards Account will decrease in proportion to the number of successfully redeemed points, the remaining points that have not been converted (if any) will continue to accumulate to redeem for the next time.

3.2 Cashback on Card on file transaction

  • Applicable card product: VIB Online Plus 2in1, VIB Cash Back
  • On the statement date of each month, VIB will determine the Card Transactions in the promotional cycling period of the Customer and credit money into the Customer's Card account in the next statement period.

3.3 General provisions on reward payment

  1. In case the customer converts the points into a gift, the last time VIB is responsible for transferring the gift redeemed by the customer is 30 days from the date the customer successfully redeems it or 45 days if the redemption date success falls on holidays, Tet.
  2. In case the Customer converts to an annual fee, the VIB card system will automatically record the Customer's annual fee waiver for the next year after the Customer successfully converts.
  3. VIB is not responsible for any loss, damage (including but unlimited to indirect and derivative losses) or any personal accident resulting from participation in the Program or as a result of the receipt or use of any gift or service, except as provided by Law.
  4. Customers enjoying promotions/gifts must pay taxes and fees in accordance with current law (if any). 

3.4 Rewards points regulation

  1. Customers are not allowed to use, buy, sell, exchange, gift, transfer, transfer the accumulated reward points (not yet redeemed).
  2. Customer cannot redeem points if Customer's Card is locked for any reason 
  3. Any and/or all accumulated rewards points will immediately expire and VIB will not be required to refund, renew or compensate in the following cases:
    • Reward points accumulated over 12 months from the time of being credited to Rewards Account and not yet redeemed by Customer and/or VIB;  
    • Cancelled card;
    • Expired card;
    • Customers incur overdue debts at VIB Cards are converted into another type of VIB credit card products;
    • The Customer violates the Terms and Conditions of Card usage of the Card product that the Customer is using.
  4. Successfully redeemed rewards points will not be canceled or refunded upon request from the Customer in any case, unless VIB decides otherwise.
  5. For Lotusmiles Miles (which have been redeemed): The query, management and use of Lotusmiles Miles will comply with the regulations of Vietnam Airlines' Lotusmiles Program.

4. Regulations on handling reverted transactions, transactions not eligible for promotion

  1. Any refunded Card transaction for which the Customer has been entitled to a promotion for the amount of such transaction (including transactions to receive rewards points and/or transactions to Pay with Points to enjoy promotions), Customer is obliged to return to VIB the corresponding reward points. Specifically, the corresponding reward points will be deducted with the existing points of customer’s Rewards Account, and/or, if the Rewards Account is not enough points to be debited, VIB will debit with a negative value (Debit) to the Customer's Rewards Account (Debited Points). The debited points will be processed according to the provisions of Session c below.
  2. Any transaction that VIB suspects is an invalid transaction (including fraudulent or abusive acts to enjoy promotions including transactions to receive Rewards Points and/or transactions to payment by Points to enjoy promotions) based on information about time, place of transaction or other factors, VIB has the right to request and within 05 working days from the time VIB requests the Customer to financial invoice provision service as prescribed by law , and/or payment slip/depository note/delivery note/other documents in the name of the Customer that lists the details of the purchase of goods such as information used goods and services of the Customer (“Transaction Proof”) for VIB to check.
    • In order to limit the cases where the Customer abuses the promotion, as soon as the Transaction Proof is requested, the amount of points corresponding to the amount of transactions that the Customer must provide Transaction Proofs will be deducted by VIB from the Customer's existing points in the Rewards Account, and/or, if the Customer’s Rewards Account Customer's is not having enough point to deduct, VIB will bebit to Customer's Rewards Account (Debited Points). The number of Debited Points will be processed as specified below and/or at Point c below.
    • In case VIB determines that the Transaction Proof is appropriate and/or the Customer's VIB Credit Card payment transactions are valid under this Program regulations, the spending amount of such transaction will be is counted to enjoy the promotion under this program, VIB will cancel the deducted and/or debited action for the reward points corresponding to the amount of transactions eligible for the promotion. 
    • In case the Customer fails to provide/incompletely provides Proof of Transaction Documents within the time limit requested by VIB and/or VIB determines whole/partial that the Transaction Proof is inappropriate and/or partial/whole the payment transactions by the Customer's VIB Credit Card is invalid, the partial/whole spending amount of such transactions will not be included in the preferential spending amount of this program. VIB will not cancel the deduction and/or Debit of the points corresponding to the amount of transactions that are not eligible for the promotion. 
  3. The Debited Points will be converted into cash according to item d below when the Card is invalidated or at another time as stipulated by VIB from time to time. This amount will be debited to the Card account, and the Customer must return this amount to VIB no later than the Due Date in the Statement. The provisions of Article 8 and other relevant provisions of the VIB Credit Card Terms and Conditions will be applied to the partial/whole amount of late payment (if any).
  4. The above-mentioned conversion rate of Debited Points to money will be made in the Conversion List announced/listed on MyVIB by VIB (except for the number of points accumulated under section 8.4, the relevant regulations will apply). to Miles under the Lotusmiles Program - Vietnam Airlines at the time VIB converts the Debited Points into cash. In case at the time of redemption, the redemption list has not been announced/listed by VIB on MyVIB and /or in the Redemption List there is no content on determining the specific conversion rate with the relevant Card, the conversion rate will be determined as follows:

5. Other regulations

  1. Customers are entitled to receive rewards points based on actual spending arising from the program launch date.
  2. VIB has the right to change and adjust the redemption rate of accumulated rewards points, or change any terms and conditions of the program during the program period at its discretion. The latest regulation will be applied after 7 days from the date of publication on VIB's website: www.vib.com.vn. Amendments/additions will be notified to the competent authority in accordance with regulations.
  3. This VIB’s promotion program is registered with the competent state agency in accordance with the law. In the event that the program conflicts with any legal provisions or directives of any government agency, the program will be changed, canceled or modified to be consistent withits provisions of law, directives.
  4. All VIB’s data and information relating to this Program includes and is binding on all Customers. VIB reserves the right to correct errors in case the number of rewards points is calculated incorrectly, even if the Card has been terminated.
  5. VIB is exempt from liability for force majeure events occurring during the program. Force majeure circumstances included, but are unlimited to: war of aggression, attack from abroad, revolutionary rebellion, riots, civil war, social disorder, requisition, or other cases of force majeure. civil action or military junta, the law, regulation of the conduct or order of any governmental agency, mechanism, intermediary or official, embargo, natural disaster, fire, inclement weather inclement, flood, strike, disease (of any cause), any delay, violation or failure of the computer processing, including functional or equipment failure, in the provision of any banking equipment, facilities or services to the Customer if the delay, breach or processing error of such computer is beyond VIB's reasonable control, or other events, other force majeure circumstances that the parties cannot foresee and cannot overcome.
  6. In case the Customer has a complaint, the Customer needs to make a complaint (if any) via phone number 1800 8195 of Customer Care Department 24/7 - VIB to be resolved by VIB. In which, if the Customer complains that the Customer's transaction is not counted/incorrectly counted in the value of the Promotional Spending Transaction and the Customer provides valid proof of purchase documents/invoices, VIB will check and adjust. The customer does not perform any act of providing complaint information to any third party, does not make any complaint, denunciation or lawsuit at any third party against VIB in the time the Customer is making a complaint at VIB, as well as the time when VIB is handling the Customer's complaint.
  7. In the event of a dispute related to this program, the dispute will be resolved according to the agreement between VIB and the Customer, in accordance with these rules and the provisions of law. The customer does not perform any act of providing disputed information to any third party, does not make any complaint, denunciation or lawsuit at any third party against VIB in the time the Customer and VIB are settling the dispute.
  8. The Customer confirms that by participating in this program, the Customer has accepted these Terms in its entirety, and commits to strictly comply with the provisions of these regulations.

Types of goods and services are determined in accordance with current law (excluding vouchers, coins, cards, stars on the internet environment, or similar platform with any other names identified by VIB).

2 The Customer's own legally personal consumption purpose is shown by Customer's information in the Person/Buyer/Unit Name/Tax ID number fields on the Transaction Proofing Document.

The Cardholder's working place is determined based on the information provided by the Cardholder on the Card Issuance Application and/or the Cardholder's declared information recorded on VIB's system and/or information determined by VIB based on other sources including but not limited to social insurance information, personal income tax finalization.

The principal amount of installment transaction is still included in the value of spending to receive points in the statement period that transaction is recorded.

Payment transactions of Prudential Insurance fee by VIB credit cardholder to the cardholder themselves (understood as Cardholder's name is the same as the Insurance contranct's name) via Internet Banking/MyVIB is still acceptable in the specific rewards program (if any).

6 Program 1 will apply to all Customers who meet these Regulations, excluding the specific conditions of Program 2.

7 In case the Customer replaces/change card product, the date of first card issuance is determined the date of the original card (before the card is replaced or changed product) issued on VIB's Card system

Mastercard Airport Experiences program is provided by Master Card International and is subject to Master Card's regulations on this program

9 Customers who issue Cards in the second time onwards will be considered as card issued in the first time if they have closed (termination of validity) the previous Card at least 03 months

11 Linking Card is the implementation of the card’s account linking feature between 02 VIB Family Link credit cards

12 LAZADA e-commerce platform operated through LAZADA Vietnam website (www.Lazada.vn) and LAZADA mobile application on iOS, Android operating systems

13 Transactions at merchants outside Vietnam and in foreign currencies

14 Is an e-wallet platform developed by Online Mobile Services Joint Stock Company, allowing users to make payments and transactions on mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems.

15 Exclude outstanding payment amounts for spending transactions registered in installments.

  16 Other types of gifts deployed and announced by VIB from time to time are different from the specific types of gifts specified in other Sections in Article 9.1.2 of these Rules.

18Pay with Rewards: is the solution that VIB cooperate with Master card allowing to VIB Travel Élite credit card use the accumulative points to redeem and payment for purchase transaction (including the POS’s devices and online transactions) through MyVIB

19To ensure compliance with regulations on depositing by topup into an account according to account's terms and conditions, when Customer chooses to automatically convert points into an amount to deposit more money into account according to this regulation, (i) first of all, VIB will convert the reward points into an amount to credit to the current account (the current account), and (ii) after that, VIB will automatically deduct money from the current account to deposit more into the account.

VIB will stop converting rewards points into an amount to credit to the current account, and will not automatically deduct money from this account to deposit more into the account if it is less than or equal to 31 days.

VIB is not responsible in cases where the amount is not added to the account in the cases including but unlimited to the following: The current account is temporarily locked/blocked/changed the current account status; the amount is credited to the account. The current account is automatically deducted by VIB for payment obligations at VIB of the current account holder before being added to the account.

20Invoices must have the following contents as prescribed in Article 4 of Decree 123/2020/ND-CP, including: Name of invoice; invoice symbol; notation of invoice model number; Some bills; the name of the invoice and the name of the organization that has received the invoice printing for ordered invoices; name, address, tax identification number of the seller; buyer's name, address, tax identification number; name, unit of calculation, quantity and unit price of goods and services; into cash without value added tax; value-added tax rate; the total amount of value-added tax according to each tax rate (in the case of a value-added invoice); Total payment amount; buyer's signature, seller's signature, seller's stamp (if any) and invoice date, month and year. In which, the merchant's name, address, tax code must be the same as the merchant's information / the same as the transaction location on the statement
